A private Ayurvedic retreat with a woodland thermal ritual.
Everything in Sukha, with the addition of a two-hour private Teach Allais Thermal Experience. Three or five days to slow down, restore your body and return with a clearer mind. Our Ayurvedic retreats are designed by an Ayurvedic practitioner, with optional consultations and treatments available for guests who would like personal guidance.

Sattva is the Sanskrit word for clarity, harmony and inner stillness. In Ayurveda, it describes the quiet state that naturally arises when body and mind come back into balance.
YOUR STAY
3 or 5 nights with a private thermal experience
Sattva is available as a 3 night (4 day) or 5 night (6 day) retreat. A minimum stay of 3 nights applies. You will stay in one of our two private cabins — Neadín or Folachán — with Folachán being the natural choice given its proximity to the Teach Allais thermal area. Check-in is any day except Sunday. Check-out is by 11am.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Ayurvedic cabin, plus an indulgent 2 hour thermal experience
An Ayurvedic cabin, hamper, provisioned kitchen, dinacharya guide, medicine garden and library — with the addition of one private Teach Allais Thermal Experience. Two hours in our wood-fired sauna and Japanese Ofuro soaking tub, set in native woodland.
Sattva is the quality of clarity and stillness that arises naturally when the body is at ease and the mind grows quiet. This retreat creates the conditions for exactly that.
The Ayurvedic cabin holds you in the same gentle rhythm as Sukha — the hamper, the provisioned kitchen, the dinacharya guide, the medicine garden, the books, the fire pit and the long views across East Clare. The seasonal dinacharya will invite you to align your days with the natural rhythm of light and land, eating with the sun, moving gently, resting deeply.
Added to this is one private Teach Allais Thermal Experience — Dronagiri’s signature two-hour woodland wellness ritual of heat, water and stillness. Where the Ayurvedic cabin works quietly on the mind and spirit, the thermal experience works on the body — releasing what rest alone sometimes cannot reach. Together, they create something greater than either alone. The penetrating warmth of the sauna eases muscles and joints. The deep immersion of the cedar Ofuro encourages profound relaxation. Stepping back into the cool woodland air creates a rhythm of heat, rest and stillness that lingers long after the retreat ends.

You may also feel drawn to venture beyond the sanctuary into the wild beauty of East Clare — to the ancient lakelands, the quiet hill walks and the long bóithríns (“little roads”). Folachán sits beside the thermal area, making the transition from cabin to sauna to soaking tub to cabin again feel entirely seamless — a natural rhythm of heat, rest, water and stillness.

The Land
Step outside your cabin and you are surrounded by a living apothecary — California poppy, arnica, valerian, lavender, yarrow, mugwort, mullein, feverfew, motherwort, inula helenium, mint, rosemary and an ancient olive tree, growing alongside over 3,000 native Irish trees planted since 2019. Pick fresh herbs for your morning kitchari, walk the nature track, sit beside the kadai fire as the evening light changes, or simply breathe in the particular quality of air that comes from living, healing land.
Dronagiri has been rewilding since 2019. The wildlife — birds, insects, small mammals — is returning season by season. There is always something to notice, if you slow down enough to look.
There is a particular clarity that comes after several days lived simply. Meals cooked slowly. Fire lit at dusk. Heat, water, woodland and silence. Nothing to achieve. Nowhere to be. Just enough time to remember what balance feels like.
