Set into the trees on the Dronagiri Nature Sanctuary, Folachán is the perfect little spot to ignore the world for a few days of quiet calm. The site’s been under rewilding since 2019, and has slowly been returning to nature – perfect for those looking to find beautiful flora and fauna to surround themselves with.
Inside your cabin, you’ll find all you need to get back to yourself – with a small kitchenette to cook up the county’s finest ingredients, and savour in front of gorgeous views of the tumbling hillsides. Your king-sized bed is lined on one side with a gigantic picture window to take in this verdant vista all day long, from first light to the amber glow of sunset.

Folachán is self-catering and everything is provided for you to create simple delicious meals in the kitchen space on the electric hob or outdoors over the campfire. It is highly insulated with straw, has triple glazing and underfloor heating. This means that it stays cosy all year round and you don’t have the bother of lighting the fire to warm up in the mornings or when you get back from a long day’s adventuring.
